About Me

Skye's the Limit Horsemanship offers lessons, clinics and training with Alexcia Jordan.

Alexcia has been involved with horses since the age of five starting with professional training in Del Mar, CA. She began her showing Saddlebreds in Del Mar and later moved into Quarter Horses. Later in life her family moved to Sandpoint, Idaho where she continued to show horses. At the age of 14 she took on her first independent training project taking that horse into the 4-H Green horse contest. She won this project three years in a row each year with a new horse. While in 4-H she made several trips to national horse judging competitions to compete and later she became a coach taking teams to both state and national competitions.

Rodeo became her major love so her emphasis moved from showing to barrel racing and breakaway. She also noticed the she really enjoyed promoting the sport of rodeo and what better way to do that then to run for rodeo queen. Over the years she held many titles with her major accomplishment being Miss Pro-West in 2006. She currently is the Pro-West Queen Coordinator and continues to be very active in rodeo.

Alexcia attended Midway College in Kentucky studying Business Administration with an Equine Concentration. While attending Midway she was involved with the horsemanship team, helped at the Keenland Yearlings Sale, exercised race horses and showed her own horse on the Appaloosa circuit.

After returning from Kentucky Alexcia again focused on her rodeo career, being active in barrel racing and breakaway roping. She took a job with the Appaloosa Horse Club as the Judges' Coordinator gaining the opportunity to work with some of the countries best horse judges.

Throughout all her adventures she has continued to educate herself and remains dedicated to passing that knowledge to her students and training horses. Now as a mother she has backed off the competition for herself but is taking on more horses and riders to help them achieve their goals. She is a very active open show and 4-H horse show judge, gives clinics in showmanship, horsemanship, gaming event and many others.
